Thank you for your question.  This is a difficult question to answer because there is not a set price for liposuction.  Price should not be your determining factor for choosing who does your procedure.  Your first question should be is this individual properly trained?  Are they a board certified plastic surgeon?  How many of these procedures do they do?  Also, what is the technique that they are going to use?  Prices are usually determined by the location that you want treated and the facility you are having the surgery.  We do have a policy of giving larger discounts when there are multiple areas being treated at the same time. Please remember higher prices do not always equal a better result, but the lowest price may not be the best decision either.  This is a decision that should be based on trust and experience.
The technique used for your procedure will also influence the appearance of your scars, so talk to your surgeon to get a complete explanation of the typical scarring associated with each technique, including the standard (anchor) breast lift surgery, doughnut mastopexy, and crescent lift techniques. Together, you can determine which option would work best in your particular case.
Hi. It would be impossible to give you an estimate without an evaluation, plus, every surgeon has his or her fee. Liposuction fees will depend on several things. For example, where it is being perfoemed, say a clinic, office or a hospital. The amount of lipo and the areas of lipo are also a determining factors. The technique used can also bump up the price. Some techniques require special devises that are expensive.
Costs vary based on the amount of fat harvested and grafted, but average around $8,000 to $15,000. Insurance rarely covers the cost of procedures that are solely cosmetic. Several treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired results. Unqualified injectors sometimes offer cut-rate buttock injections. This should be a red flag that something is amiss.
A: It’s difficult to answer “how much” sensitivity you can expect to lose after breast lift surgery but most patients report that they are able to retain complete or near complete sensation. During the initial postoperative period, there may be a temporary loss or decrease in sensation primarily due to swelling. As the swelling subsides, the sensation will return. There is the potential that you may experience a change in the sensitivity of your nipples and the skin of your breast. On occasion, patients have reported that their nipples are “supersensitive.” In this case desensitization, exercises can be performed to diminish the sensitivity. This involves gently rubbing the nipples with cotton ball and then progressing to a more course material.
BBL procedure at Spectrum Aesthetics, Miami not only helps round out your buttocks with fat transfers and implants, but it also helps to provide a more shapely and perky buttock appearance. We do this BBL surgery by removing fat from the lower end of the buttocks as well as the sides. By removing fat from these sections of the buttocks, your buttocks gains a perky and full look in its center and top regions providing a youthful, beach-ready appearance.
Hi there- I think it's important to realize that the appearance you would like to achieve may not require a 6 inch increase in your hips (which I agree would be extraordinary), but might be possible through the change in the relationships between your waist, abdomen, and hips. In a Brazilian Butt Lift, it is often possible to make the buttocks look even more full through the suction and... READ MORE
Most board certified plastic surgeons will give discounts if more than one area is addressed at the same time. Be careful when comparing pricing between surgeons. Some surgeons will only give you their fee with the surgery center and anesthesiologist billing you separately. Other surgeons will give you a package price which will include their fee, the surgery center and anesthesiologists fee.
Cost of Liposuction is an important factor when considering liposuction surgery. However, the quality of liposuction is more important than the liposuction cost. If the ultimate goal of liposuction is to have a happy patient, then the surgeon’s expertise and experience are probably more important than finding the cheapest liposuction surgeon. Liposuction prices are important, but it is not the most important factor to considering lipo surgery. Be careful not to put your body on the “Discount Rack”.
The surgeries that risk more significant scarring are the much more common vertical or “lollipop” lift and the inverted T or “anchor” lift, which feature two and three incisions respectively. As they are more invasive surgeries than a crescent lift, you can expect more extensive scarring, but as long as you and your surgeon can provide proper care and observation, these can fade and can be easily hidden while you’re waiting for them to fade.

When it comes to breast lifts the most common questions I get each day concern the probability, risk, and/or how we can avoid scarring.  While I would like to be able to offer patients a 'scarless' breast lift, the reality is that breast lifts will always require incisions and to get a great cosmetic result the type or placement of incisions is not dependent upon what I would prefer to do but rather it is dependent upon how much breast sag or ptosis a patient exhibits, the patients balance between skin and breast tissue and where this laxity in skin and tissue exists.
Gaining in popularity is something called the vertical lift, which involves a scar around the areola and then straight down the breast, eliminating the underneath scar. Proponents think that the shape is good, that the breast maintains a lot of projection over time without bottoming out, and that the underneath scar is avoided. I believe that many of these breasts look overly projecting to my taste, and that bottoming out can be minimized with the inverted T style pattern. I also feel that the underneath scar is rarely seen, and that the scars that are seen - around the areola and going straight down, seem relatively more visible with this technique since it requires some bunching up of the skin during closure. Understand that some of the best surgeons in the world argue with one another about this issue at meetings all the time!
Office liposuction under tumescent local anesthesia costs from about 4-7500, and more extensive procedures need to be done in the operating room under general anesthesia. Depending on the time the cost can go up to 15,000. Multiple areas are discounted in the sense that when done in the operating room under general, the additional areas are charged by the total time, not per area, which is a savings.
Although the removed fat cells are unlikely to grow back, body fat has been shown to return to preliposuction levels within a year after the surgery, particularly returning to the abdominal area. Researchers believe the body compensates for the rapid fat loss by putting on more fat. In a trial of 34 women published in the September 2012 edition of the journal “Obesity,” the cosmetic benefits of liposuction were lost after one year. A later study, however, suggested that recurrence of belly fat can be avoided by exercise.

Dr. Nichter and Dr. Horowitz prefer to use a short #scar technique, known as the “lollipop scar” or “donut lift” rather than anchor pattern lift which involve more significant scarring, and is used by the majority of surgeons in the United States. Additionally, scar therapy with scar maturation products (e.g. BioCorneum or Embrace) are suggested for managing scars. However, we recommend you begin usage of scar improving products a few weeks following your surgery. It is always recommend to call and see your surgeon to discuss your #healing concerns.

Nonsurgical fat reduction treatments can also treat small pockets of fat, but be aware that RealSelf members give these procedures a lower Worth It Rating than they do liposuction. They usually require multiple treatments, over many months, to see a significant improvement—and the results are typically not as dramatic as those you’d get with lipo. After a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure, the body flushes out the damaged fat cells over time. Dr. Marosan also cations that “Patients who undergo nonsurgical fat reduction and then opt for liposuction surgery are more difficult to treat, due to the extensive internal scarring. In my practice, over 50% of my body sculpting patients had previous nonsurgical or surgical fat reduction, with suboptimal or poor results.”
Finally, lifts can be done with a scar just around the areola. A frenchman named Louis Benelli popularized this procedure, as did a Brazilian named Goes. But they do extensive work on the inside to shape the breast, something that few american surgeons actually do. In their hands, terrific results can be achieved, but I have seen inconsistent results with this procedure with american surgeons. Allegedly, it is the operation that has the highest incidence of malpractice suits. This is not due to anything inherently wrong with the procedure, but that the procedure is being used in breasts that are probably too droopy, heavy, and loose for this technique. I have achieved excellent results with this, but only on breast that are relatively small and light, and that don't have a lot of droopiness.

At DePerro Plastic Surgery the cost of Liposuction is $1750 for the first area and $1000 for each additional area.  There is also approximately $2000 in costs for anesthesia and the facility fee.  We perform all of our liposuction procedures in our attached surgery center under general anesthesia and sterile conditions.  This maximizes your safety and comfort so you don't feel any pain during the procedure.  Also, because you're asleep we are able to be more thorough and remove more fat.  So in total 1 area of liposuction under general anesthesia would cost approximately $3750, two areas $4750.

The horizontal mastopexy goes by many names, including the “Horndesky Method” and “Ultimate Lift.” This technique enables surgeons to create a new position for the nipple without leaving a vertical scar from the areola to the breast crease. Instead, a horizontal incision is made across the entire breast above the areola, and the surgeon excises the skin below it while preserving the nipple.

Thank you for your question. All surgical procedures leave scars. Breast lift, or mastopexy is a surgical procedure used to raise and reshape sagging breasts.  Factors such as pregnancy, nursing, weight change, aging and gravity produce changes in the appearance of a woman’s breasts.  As the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and begin to sag. If your breasts are small or have lost volume after pregnancy, breast implants inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase both firmness and size. There are a variety of different surgical techniques used for the reshaping and lifting of the female breast. I recommend that you make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.
• CoolSculpting destroys small pockets of fat by freezing the fat cells. After one treatment session, you’ll gradually lose about 25% of the fat cells in the treatment area. It takes about a month to start seeing results, with improvements for up to 20 weeks. At that point, many RealSelf members opted for a second treatment to get the results they were after. Dr. Marosan notes that “There are an increasing number of reports of fat hyperplasia [a hardened area] in the treated areas, which require liposuction to correct it.”

Cost is incredibly variable. It depends on the city and the provider. If you go to a plastic surgeon in New York City, it costs a lot more than seeing a non-plastic surgeon in a rural area. There are plenty of non-plastic surgeons offering discount liposuction. But, this can be somewhat risky due to their limited training backgrounds. And bad liposuction is very difficult to fix - I perform a lot of revision liposuction trying to fix poorly performed liposuction.

For tumescent liposuction, the most common technique, your doctor will make one or more small (one-quarter inch or less) incisions in the area to be treated and inject a large quantity of a mixture of saline (salt water), local anesthesia, and epinephrine into your tissue. The fluid causes the fat to become swollen, firm, and easier to remove. (It also constricts your blood vessels, which reduces bruising, blood loss, and recovery time.) The surgeon then inserts the cannula through the same incision and passes it back and forth under the skin to break up the fat before suctioning it out. For a very small area, the procedure takes around 30 minutes, while a 360 liposuction—which includes the abdomen, flanks, back, and all around the torso—lasts three to four hours.

The cost of living is different among different geographical locations. In general, the cost of cosmetic surgery tends to be higher in areas of the country where the cost of living is high. For example, a practice located in Los Angeles will change more for a buttocks lift than a practice situated in San Francisco due to the higher cost of living index, which affects all kinds of services and goods in that area, including plastic surgery services and related costs (see cost of anaesthesia and operating room below). Likewise, a practice in, say, India or Turkey, will perform a butt augmentation at a lower cost than in Paris (from $2,400 vs. $7,300 respectively), while a patient opting to have a butt lift in Switzerland will be called to pay, at least, $6,600 for the liposuction alone.
Despite the increase in research on fat grafting to the butt, many questions remain. For example, there is no exact science behind how much fat to harvest or inject. The fat that is injected must develop its own blood supply to survive — and, on average, just half of it does. This means that 50 percent of the injected fat dissolves. To compensate, some plastic surgeons will over-inject. They don’t always get it right, and repeat treatments are often needed.
Each year, thousands of women undergo breast lift procedures to restore the shape and volume of their breasts for a more youthful breast contour. Oftentimes breast lifts are combined with other procedures such as breast augmentation or breast reduction. In cases like these, the breasts are lifted as they are increased or decreased in size. The result are breasts that look and feel better!
Call your surgeon: If you have any concerns at all during your recovery and healing process, I’m always available to my patients during this time—I prefer you to call rather than worry about a symptom. I will explain what indicators to watch out for as you recover that might indicate infection or poor healing. I will be checking your progress regularly as well. Any top surgeon should be willing to be there for you during your recovery process.
It is almost impossible to provide an accurate estimate of liposuction price unless the surgeon has had the opportunity to examine the patient. One can expect to be given a range of liposuction prices or at least the smallest fee charged for a specific area. For example, if Dr. Jones always quotes an all-inclusive global price, then, for example, the receptionist should be able to state that “for abdominal liposuction, the minimal price is $4000 and may be as much as $8000 for a very large abdomen”.
Many patients find it difficult to give up their daily run, however, it’s incredibly important that you cease any strenuous activity for a period of time after your procedure. In order to get the best breast lift results, you need to allow your body to heal. Exercise and other high-intensity activities can cause damage to the surgical site and increase swelling.

We think you shouldn’t have to wait to look better, and more importantly, feel better about yourself. To help our patients afford liposuction, we offer financing options. When you apply, we’ll take a look at your credit history to determine your qualification and financing amount. Upon approval, you can book a date for your procedure. Afterward, you’ll make monthly payments. Financing can help you get where you want to be sooner rather than later.
It’s important to understand exactly what your doctor’s quote includes. Does the number only include your surgeon’s fee? Or will it cover anesthesia, hospital fees, pre- or post-op appointments, and medications you’ll need throughout your recovery? If your doctor’s estimate doesn’t consider all those costs, be sure to factor them into your budget. Also be sure to ask how your surgeon handles revisions, in case you aren’t happy with your initial results.
If you maintain your post-lipo weight, your surgical result should be long-lasting. But if you gain even five pounds, the fat cells in other areas of your body—as well as those that remain in the treated area—will grow larger, possibly diminishing your results. In cases of considerable weight gain, new fat cells can develop all over the body, including in the treated areas, though the area will still look better than if you didn’t have liposuction.
