VASER liposuction, a variation of UAL, evenly disperses the ultrasonic energy with a grooved cannula and probe. The ultrasound energy breaks up the fat and frees it from the surrounding tissue, making fat easier to remove, with less swelling, pain, downtime, or potential for sagging skin than traditional lipo. Dr. George Marosan, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Bellevue, Washington, prefers VASER liposuction in most situations. “Fat comes out more easily with VASER—especially in men, where it’s more fibrous,” Dr. Marosan says. He also points out another great advantage of VASER lipo: While fat that’s liquified by laser lipo isn’t usable, fat broken up by VASER is still viable for transfer to the breasts, butt, or anywhere you want more fullness. “The VASER allows me to sculpt the body, revealing the underlying muscle and bony anatomy. This is an advanced technique that goes way beyond liposuction for fat removal only,” says Dr. Marosan.e
Thank you for your question. There are three types of surgical techniques for breast lifts. The most common is the vertical technique, which does involve the scar down the lower pole of the breast. However, surgical scars typically heal more cleanly than accidental trauma. After twelve months, many of my patients have thin, almost imperceptible lines. I also offer a comprehensive scar care regimen after surgery to optimize the appearance of the ultimate scar.
If you maintain your post-lipo weight, your surgical result should be long-lasting. But if you gain even five pounds, the fat cells in other areas of your body—as well as those that remain in the treated area—will grow larger, possibly diminishing your results. In cases of considerable weight gain, new fat cells can develop all over the body, including in the treated areas, though the area will still look better than if you didn’t have liposuction.
While butt implants are available as an option to our patients but it is not recommended. Sixty percent of all buttocks implants are rejected by the patient’s body, which is followed by a cost to remove them. On the other hand, fat transfer to buttock are completely safe as it is own body fat. Doctors at Spectrum Aesthetics, recommend this buttock fat transfer (Brazilian Butt Lift) method.
Aging brings on a general redistribution of body fat, especially around the middle. For women, childbirth can leave behind a roll of stubborn and unsightly belly fat. And, of course, genetics count for a lot, too. But when it comes to liposuction, not all fat is created equal. Fat that’s resistant to diet and exercise is usually subcutaneous fat, which lies beneath the skin and on top of the abdominal muscle wall. The good news is that’s what liposuction is intended to remove. Liposuction can remove pockets of flab, recontour your middle and improve your shape.
The surgeries that risk more significant scarring are the much more common vertical or “lollipop” lift and the inverted T or “anchor” lift, which feature two and three incisions respectively. As they are more invasive surgeries than a crescent lift, you can expect more extensive scarring, but as long as you and your surgeon can provide proper care and observation, these can fade and can be easily hidden while you’re waiting for them to fade.
You may notice an improved body contour immediately (for instance, if you have your saddlebags suctioned), but your results will be disguised initially by swelling. Swelling should improve dramatically after six weeks and continue to go down over the next six months. If you think you’ll need more lipo to get the result you want, wait at least six months for the swelling to subside, then evaluate the situation with your surgeon. Just keep in mind that you’ll continue healing and seeing better results for up to a year.
Following surgery, Breast Lift scars are red and normally slightly raised, but over 3 – 6 months after surgery they usually fade and flatten out, becoming thin, barely visible lines. For incisions along the areolar border, the scars are usually partially disguised by the skin color contrast (between the dark areola and lighter breast skin) and the uneven surface of the areola.
Our plastic surgeons hold the title of top surgeons in the industry year after year, and that’s not a position we take lately. Our specialists are the best in the nation, and we stand by that title with confidence and pride.
The surgical technique used during your breast lift procedure will also influence the appearance of your scars. Your surgeon will explain the typical scarring associated with each technique, including the standard (anchor) breast lift surgery, doughnut mastopexy, and laser bra lift techniques; together, you can determine which is appropriate for you.
Thankfully, there’s a slew of solutions that have been proven to help with scarring, even completely removing the visual effect. One of the first solutions that may be offered is a steroid injection into the area, which helps with the discomfort and redness of scarring. Cortisone creams are another option that may help to reduce the size of the blemish. Targeted cryotherapy, similar to the type of therapy used to remove warts, may also reduce scarring by freezing the tissue away.
Although the mastopexy procedure is one of the safest and most rewarding plastic surgeries, concern about breast lift scars is natural for women who are considering the procedure. As a woman and a breast surgeon, I have a deep understanding of the mix of emotions that can accompany a breast lift. You’re longing for a return to the high, perky breasts you had in younger years, before major weight loss or prior to pregnancy and breastfeeding. At the same time, you realize any surgery carries risk and excess scarring is one of them. Here we’ll provide expert tips to help you avoid visible breast lift scars.
Some women seek out scarless breast lift because they wish to avoid scars which are the hallmark of a breast lift. Unfortunately, a true breast lift cannot be done with scars. However, in some instances, a woman looking for a breast lift only needs more volume in the upper part of her breast and in such situation a breast augmentation helps to reshape the breast and creates the illusion of a lift. This is a procedure that is appropriate only for a very limited number of patients as this is not a true lift.
• WarmSculpting with SculpSure’s diode-laser energy creates heat that kills fat cells during a 25-minute treatment, and multiple areas can be treated at the same time. There are very few side effects and zero downtime. WarmSculpting’s Worth It Rating is almost as high as that of liposuction, and it’s significantly less expensive. Just keep in mind you’ll have to wait up to three months to see your full results, and you might need two or more treatments to reach your goals.
